SYNOPSIS : United States, Michigan. Three longtime friends, Ken, Greg, and Art, Vietnam veterans deeply scarred by the war, head to the countryside to hunt game. Vulgar and racist, they are also, despite being married, inveterate womanizers. During a stop at a gas station, they spot Nancy and her lover, Martin. When the couple resumes their journey, the trio decides to follow them before overpowering them and leading them to their hideout, an isolated cabin in the woods. Thus begins a true nightmare for Nancy and Martin.

ABOUT THE FILM : The Blood Hunt, released in 1974, was given an X rating two years later for inciting violence. In France, it was released in limited theaters in 1982, only in the provinces. Directed by Peter Collinson (Night of the Alligators), this provocative film boasts a stellar cast: Peter Fonda (Easy Rider), Cornelia Sharpe (Serpico), John Philip Law (Danger: Diabolik!), Richard Lynch (Amazonia: The White Jungle), Alberto de Mendoza (The Tail of the Scorpion), and William Holden (The Wild Bunch). Unreleased in France since its VHS release in 1984, The Blood Hunt is finally available in a restored, high-definition version.
