Airing originally on ITV from 1995 to 1998, Faith in the Future is the direct sequel series to the highly popular 1989–1992 comedy Second Thoughts. The show picks up after the breakup of Faith Greyshott (Lynda Bellingham) and her partner Bill.
Now single and determined to completely rebuild her life, Faith navigates an independent path only to find her newly empty nest immediately disrupted when her dramatic, grown daughter Hannah (Julia Sawalha) moves right back in with her. The series ran for three successful seasons and won the British Comedy Award for Best ITV Comedy in 1997.
