Two cops, one black and the other white, are assigned the most difficult and potentially dangerous case of their careers when ambitious robbers hit a fund-raising affair for Michigan's first Black gubernatorial candidate. This results in much double crossing, a lot of gunplay, non-candy coated handling of racial tension, and a fantastically long and gritty chase scene around the fringes of Detroit in large, early 70's model automobiles.
