Cleveland kid Mark Champlin (Miles Chapin) headed west to one of L.A.'s comedy club meccas, with dreams of making it big in standup. As he gets to know the other ambitious comics sharing stage time and the realities of their grind, he finds lots of life lessons to go along with the laughs.
