This two-disc Blu-ray set brings together his films Two Years at Sea (2011) and Bogancloch (2024), and a selection of shorts, which document the life of Jake Williams, a man who lives a life of solitude in the Scottish Highlands, fulfilling the radical dream he had as a younger man. Jake goes about his daily routine in the near-complete absence of any human ties, with Rivers' camera functioning as the lone connection between him and the world beyond his self-imposed isolation. These films chart a subtly changing life in a radically changing world.

Using vintage cameras, a variety of film stocks and processing the films by hand, Rivers' evocative and sensory films dismantle the conventional rules of documentary filmmaking.

Blu-ray Special Edition features:
• Two-disc Blu-ray Special Edition.
• Two Years at Sea (2011) and Bogancloch (2024) presented from new HD masters prepared and supervised by director Ben Rivers.
• This Is My Land (2006), More Than Just a Dram (2014), and The Wine Song (2015): Ben Rivers' short films featuring Jake Williams.
• At Jake's: Luke Fowler's 16mm behind-the-scenes footage of Bognacloch.
• Stovies 1-7: additional footage from Two Years at Sea.
• Bog Stovies: additional footage from Bogancloch.
• Booklet with writing by filmmakers Radu Jude, Scott Barley, Lucile Hadžihalilović, Denis Côté, Angela Schanelec, Maiko Endo, Mark Jenkin and Payal Kapadia, plus interviews with Ben Rivers by Alice Hattrick and Thomas Beard.
• 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio on Bogancloch.
• English subtitles for Bogancloch.
• Region free Blu-rays (A/B/C).
• World premieres on Blu-ray.

Technical details:
• Language: English
• Subtitles: English (Bogancloch only)
• Running time: Two Years at Sea - 91 minutes; Bogancloch - 90 minutes
• Black and white/Colour
• Original aspect ratios: 2.65:1
• Video: BD50 x 2 / 1080p / 24fps
• Audio: 2.0 Dual-Mono LPCM (24-bit) / 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio (Bogancloch only)
• Discs: 2
• Region A/B/C (Region Free)

https://www.orbitdvd.com/products/two-years-at-sea-bogancloch-two-films-by-ben-rivers-limited-edition-region-free
