DESCRIPTION
A fascination with both religion and showmanship drove Minnesota teen Tammy Faye La Valley (Jessica Chastain) to marriage with minister Jim Bakker (Andrew Garfield) and into religious broadcasting, where their "PTL Club" became a televangelism staple of the '70s and '80s. She'd face a daunting task to rebuild life and reputation after Jim's infidelities and financial fraud thereafter came to light.
