In the dark of night, the police doctor and his assistant rush through the cemetery to the morgue. You're going to do an autopsy on Waldemar Daninski's body. He was killed with three silver bullets by the villagers near the Austro-Hungarian border because they attributed uncanny, evil powers to him. The experienced police doctor does not believe this story and hopes to be able to prove that Daninski fell victim to the villagers' superstition and delusions of ghosts.
