Italian Genre Cinema Collection No.17
Fabio Santamaria leads a normal, middle-class life without any significant incidents. Fishing and football are among the family man's hobbies. But his everyday life changes abruptly when he witnesses a brutal crime on a trip to the country: In a reed grove, a man, out of his mind, beats a young woman until she collapses and dies. The murderer, who turns out to be the well-to-do professor Eduardo Ranieri, blames the police in Santamaria for the cruel act. The only option for the suspect is to flee forward, but with every step the rope tightens around his neck...
A single moment can destroy an entire life: With Let's Consider the Matter Closed, director Vittorio Salerno ( FANGO BOLLENTE ) has created a shocking memorial to the fragility of the legal system - an evil tract about the gap between rich and poor and the power of the social status. Alongside genre legend Enrico Maria Salerno , Enzo Cerusico and Riccardo Cucciolla shine in this dark thriller. A great rediscovery of Italian cinema!
