Frazer Truick owes his job as a local newspaper reporter to his keen nose for sensationalism. And so he suspects a mysterious secret behind the work-related accident of his friend Rachel's brother. During his research, he encounters David Keller, a powerful businessman who has fallen victim to a bizarre cult. When he tries to publish his discovery, he becomes the victim of a conspiracy and discovers the gruesome reality all too clearly: Keller's religion is a sinister, pagan ritual that repeatedly demands human sacrifice.
